Creating your own business ‘uniqueness’

Here is my question to you… if you were browsing the internet and just so happened to stumble across your website or product, your photo’s or whatever it is that you’re selling would you buy it? Would you buy your own product?

Did you hesitate to answer that question?

If you hesitated then your answer is NO

Why?

Well maybe it’s because your brand/product service is quite simply boring, or you’re hiding behind your brand, or maybe because you’re sticking to the rules or doing the same old thing that everyone else is doing

You are not standing out!

I’m about to give you a heavy injection of wisdom, you see this blog is intended to spark something inside of you that will change the way you do business!

I don’t know about you but I’m tired of seeing the same old re-cycled content. Yes, some tried and tested formulas do work for a reason but I would love to see more business women putting more of their own unique spin on things. I’m not the pot calling the kettle black here – Im the first person to put my hand up and admit to being guilty of this myself right up till recently when I looked at my own website and realised that while the content was good, it really was a yawnfest!

One of the biggest mistakes you can make in business is looking around you and trying to replicate what others are doing, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! We all have something special to offer in this world and we all have our own uniqueness and different ways of doing things

When you venturing into business you run the risk of swimming in the sea of ‘sameness‘ and the only ones that are really standing out are the business owners who are being unique, doing there own thing and adding their own ‘sparkle‘, and thats how YOU have to look at your business/brand and marketing.

Being just as good as everyone else is simply NOT GOING TO CUT IT.

Do you find that you’ve put together an awesome marketing campaign, nailed down your ideal customer avatar, given away tremendous famous of free value… but people are still not buying?

Then you need to ask yourself these questions…

“How can I make my offerings so interesting that it creates demand all on its own?” 

“What can I bring to the table thats completely different to what everyone else is doing?”

Action Step: Grab a pen and paper and write down all the things you can do to add extra value, or make you stand out from your competitors… don’t worry about the logistics of it all no – that can come later, just do a brain dump and focus on the things that make you shine.

  • What are your strong points in business?
  • What are your best personality traits?

Write it down and then identify the precise things that makes your brand uniquely you, then hone in on that focus with the intention of accentuating that unique feature in any way that you can.

  • Because THAT is your ‘secret ingredient‘!
  • Because when you shine bright you become impossible to ignore!
